Spider Cloud Wireless

Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, have become more widely available in recent years, leading to a surge in the number of users throughout the nation. These users have quickly become hooked to their devices, and now expect constant, reliable access to networks at all times, especially while out and about. This is a problem as the macro-cellular networks do not have the capability to provide strong coverage and capacity inside buildings. However, there is a solution: Spider Cloud Wireless.

Spider Cloud Wireless uses its Enterprise Radio Access Network (E-RAN) system to provide reliable mobile-broadband coverage and capacity throughout entire buildings. The technologically advanced system contains Spider Cloud Radio Node (SCRN), a multi-access 3G, LTE and WiFi small cell system; and a Spider Cloud Services Node (SCSN), a highly mobile enterprise controller that allows for simple installation, and integration with carrier and enterprise networks.

By working with a WiFi technician to install a Spider Cloud Wireless system for your building, you will receive the following benefits:

  • Single SCSN Management. Operators have the ability to co-deploy 3G, 3G and WiFi, and LTE or 4G multi-access small cell radio nodes, with each of these small cell radio nodes combining to appear as one single node to the mobile network. This allows operators to achieve better control and management over the system, providing a better experience to the end user.
  • Soft Handover Support. The Spider Cloud system allows for soft handover of radio nodes, decreasing the chances of dropped voice calls as a user moves throughout a building. On average, this system has a call drop rate of less than .8 percent, which is much lower than hard handoffs. Speak with a WiFi technician to learn more about installation of this system as part of a structured cabling service. It is generally an easy process as the Spider Cloud system does not rely on new sources for connectivity and power, but rather uses the existing Ethernet infrastructure.
  • Access to Company Intranet. The Spider Cloud system also gives companies the option to grant enterprise users access to company intranet from their mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets. A WiFi technician simply integrates the services node with the IT infrastructure to allow data to switch from authorized devices to an enterprise owned LAN.

For the reasons listed above, buildings should seriously consider working with structured cabling experts to install the Spider Cloud small cell system.
